What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small files which are stored on a user's computer. They are designed to hold a modest amount of data specific to a particular client and website, and can be accessed either by the web server or the client computer. This allows the server to deliver a page tailored to a particular user, or the page itself can contain some script which is aware of the data in the cookie and so is able to carry information from one visit to the website (or related site) to the next.

This site uses first party cookies, which are controlled by us and the results of their implementation can be view by us. The site also uses third party cookies which are implemented by scripts from other sites such as video and social networking sites to track sites and users viewing their content on a more 'remote' basis.

First Party Cookies

The cookies collect information in an anonymous form, including the number of visitors to the site, where visitors have come to the site from and the pages they visited.
date	Purely for use in code on the site to allow content to display correctly. This is not tracked in any way by us.
basketSession	This allows the site to track users when adding items to a basket for making purchases from the galleries.
PHPSESSID	This only tracks users that have specific logins to administer the site. It's purely there for them to ensure they don't have to login each time they navigate to a new page. It serves no purpose for guest users of the site.
